Privacy policy

Welcome to our medical practice website. The following privacy policy applies to the use of our website and the services offered thereon, unless otherwise agreed in a specific contract. This privacy statement informs you about the collection of personal data during your visit to this website. By using this website, you agree to this privacy policy.

Our medical practice places great importance on data protection. Due to its legal obligations (medical confidentiality under Art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code, Data Protection Act, and other federal and cantonal regulations), a high level of legal protection already exists. The collection and processing of your personal data are carried out in compliance with the applicable data protection laws and requirements.

Generally, our medical practice offers its services only in Switzerland and targets only residents of Switzerland.

Collection of General Data and Information

Each time the website is accessed by a person or an automated system, a range of general data and information is collected. These general data and information are stored in the server’s log files. Data that may be collected include (1) the types and versions of browsers used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrer), (4) the sub-websites accessed via an accessing system on our website, (5) the date and time of access to the website, (6) an Internet Protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) other similar data and information that may be used for security purposes in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.
This data and information are needed to (1) display the contents of our website correctly, (2) optimise the content of our website, (3) ensure the ongoing functionality of our information technology systems and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the necessary information in the event of a cyber attack. Furthermore, our medical practice may statistically analyse this data and information with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of our IT infrastructure. The data and information collected are processed solely for the purposes mentioned and are stored separately from any personal data provided by a data subject.

Links to Other Websites

This website may contain links to other providers’ websites. Our medical practice has no control over these websites, their content, offers, or availability, or their privacy policies and practices. Therefore, we disclaim all liability.

Cookies and Other Service Offers

Our medical practice may use cookies on its website to provide the best possible service and specific information. Cookies contain a so-called cookie ID, a unique identifier of the cookie, which allows websites and servers to be assigned to a specific Internet browser. A specific Internet browser can be recognised and identified via this unique cookie ID. The purpose of this recognition is to provide users of this website with an optimal visiting experience and to improve website design.

Information about the use of this website (including your IP address) may be transferred to servers abroad and stored there, for example, in the case of Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses this information, for example, to compile reports on website activities for visitors. Google may also transfer this data to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google, as well as other cookie providers, have their own privacy policies and terms. The handling and processing of data stored by third-party companies like Google through cookies are beyond the control of our medical practice, and thus we disclaim all liability.
Our medical practice may also use additional third-party service offerings to integrate their content and services, such as videos or articles, into the website. Such integration always assumes that these third parties may collect and process the IP address and other information of visitors to this website.

In your browser settings, you can block the use of cookies, request a warning before a cookie is created, or delete cookies later. Please note that blocking or deleting cookies after the fact may prevent you from fully using the website or impair its display.

Social Media / Social Networks

This website may have buttons (social media plugins) that establish contact with the servers of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). By clicking one of these buttons, you consent to certain data such as IP address and website visit, among others, being transmitted to the respective operator of the social network. This data transfer occurs without the involvement of our medical practice. The privacy policies and terms of the respective social network apply.

Newsletter

You have the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. Data you provide to our medical practice, especially your email address and name, may be used for the regular dispatch of our newsletter. The dispatch is carried out either directly by the medical practice or by a specialised company. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time (via the link in the newsletter or on the website). You can also inform us of your desire to unsubscribe via email or the contact details provided in the imprint.

The newsletters of our medical practice may contain so-called counting pixels. A counting pixel is a miniature

graphic sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. Using the counting pixel embedded in the email, our medical practice can determine if and when an email was opened by a data subject and which links in the email were accessed by the data subject. Such collected personal data are stored and evaluated to optimise newsletter dispatch and better tailor the content to the interests of the data subject. These personal data remain with our medical practice and, if applicable, with the company commissioned for newsletter dispatch.

Communication Options

Due to legal requirements (imprint obligation), our medical practice’s website contains certain details that enable rapid electronic contact and direct communication, which also includes a general email address. If you contact us using the communication options offered on our website, your contact details and content are only used to process and respond to your inquiry.

Please note: Access to information and services on this website is via the Internet, an open, universally accessible network. Generally, the transmission of your data via this website or communication means such as email, SMS, or WhatsApp is considered insecure. Therefore, our medical practice disclaims all liability.

Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act, you have various rights regarding your data. In particular, there is a right to access, correct, and delete your data (provided the data no longer need to be retained for legal reasons). Exercising such rights generally requires you to clearly prove your identity (e.g., with an ID copy, where your identity is otherwise unclear or unverifiable). To assert your rights, please contact our medical practice. We are happy to provide you with further information regarding this.

Our medical practice may adjust this privacy policy at any time without notice. The version published on our website at any given time applies. If the privacy policy is part of a contract with you, we will inform you of any updates via email or another suitable method.
