Privacy Policy
Welcome to the website of our medical practice. The following privacy policy applies to the use of our website and the services offered there, unless otherwise agreed in a specific contract. This privacy policy informs you about the collection of personal data during your visit to this website. By using this website, you agree to this privacy policy.
Our medical practice attaches great importance to data protection. Due to its legal obligations (medical confidentiality pursuant to Art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code, the Data Protection Act, and other federal and cantonal regulations), a high level of legal protection is already in place. The collection and processing of your personal data is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws and requirements.
As a general rule, our medical practice offers its services only in Switzerland and is only aimed at people residing in Switzerland.
Collection of general data and information
Each time the website is accessed by a data subject or an automated system, a series of general data and information is collected. This general data and information is stored in the server’s log files. Collected may be (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers), (4) the sub-websites accessed via an accessing system on our website, (5) the date and time of access to the website, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) other similar data and information that serve to avert dangers in the event of attacks on our IT infrastructure.
This data and information is required to (1) correctly display the content of our website, (2) optimize the content of our website, (3) ensure the long-term functionality of our IT infrastructure and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the necessary information in the event of a cyberattack. Furthermore, our medical practice may evaluate this data and information both statistically and with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of its IT infrastructure. The data and information collected in this way will only be processed for the purposes mentioned above and stored separately from all personal data provided by a data subject.
Links to other websites
This website may contain links to third-party websites. Our medical practice has no influence on these websites, their content, offerings, or availability, or on their applicable privacy policies and terms. Therefore, we disclaim any liability.
Cookies and other services
Our medical practice may use cookies on its website to provide the best possible service and specific information. Cookies contain a so-called cookie ID, a unique identifier that websites and servers assign to a specific internet browser. A specific internet browser can be recognized and identified using this unique cookie ID. The purpose of this recognition is to offer users of this website an optimal visitor experience and to improve the website design.
Such information about the use of this website (including your IP address) may, for example, be transferred to and stored on servers abroad in the case of Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses this information, for example, to compile reports on website activity for Google. Google may also transfer this data to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. Google, like other cookie providers, has its own privacy policies and regulations. The use and processing of data stored via cookies by third-party companies such as Google are outside the responsibility of the doctor’s office. Therefore, the doctor’s office accepts no liability whatsoever.
Our medical practice may use additional services from third parties to integrate their content and services, such as videos or articles, into the website. Such integration always requires that these third parties can collect and process the IP address and other information of visitors to this website.
In your browser settings, you can block the use of cookies, request a warning before a cookie is created, or delete cookies subsequently. Please note that blocking or subsequently deleting cookies may prevent you from fully using this website or its display may be impaired.
Social Media / Social Networks
This website may contain buttons (“social media plugins”) that establish contact with the servers of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). By clicking on one of these buttons, you consent to the transmission of certain data, such as your IP address, website visits, and other data, to the respective operator of the social network. This data transmission occurs without the intervention of the medical practice. The privacy policies and regulations of the respective social network apply.
Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. The data you provide to the medical practice, in particular your email address and name, may be used to regularly send our newsletter. This will be sent either directly by the medical practice or through a specialized company. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time (via the link in the newsletter or on the website). You can also notify us by email or using the contact details provided in the imprint.
The doctor’s office newsletter may contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. Using the tracking pixel embedded in the email, our doctor’s office can determine whether and when an email was opened by a data subject and which links in the email were accessed by the data subject. Such collected personal data is stored and evaluated in order to optimize newsletter delivery and better adapt the content to the interests of the data subject. This personal data remains with our doctor’s office and, if applicable, with the company commissioned to send the newsletter.
Communication options
Due to legal regulations (“Imprint Obligation”), our medical practice’s website contains certain information that enables quick electronic contact and direct communication, including a general email address. If you contact us using the communication options offered on our website, your contact information and content will only be used to process and respond to your inquiry.
Please note: Access to information and services on this website is via the internet, an open network accessible to everyone. The transmission of your data via this website or via communication methods such as email, SMS, or WhatsApp is generally considered insecure. Our medical practice therefore disclaims any liability.
Your rights
You have various rights under data protection law regarding your data. In particular, you have the right to access, rectification, and erasure (provided the data no longer needs to be retained for legal reasons). Exercising these rights generally requires you to provide clear proof of your identity (e.g., by providing a copy of your ID card where your identity is otherwise unclear or cannot be verified). To assert your rights, please contact the doctor’s office. We will be happy to provide you with further information on this matter.
